Norm Cıvata, a leading organization in the Turkish industry, hosts Zeki Serbest at its art gallery, which has been operating for 14 years at the Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone in the first exhibition of the season of 2017.
The exhibition at the Norm Art Gallery was opened with a cocktail party. The guests included Çiğli District Governor Kaya Çıtak; Çiğli Chief of Police Tahsin Kılıç and his spouse; Norm Cıvata Honorary President Nedim Uysal; Norm Cıvata Chairman and Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (IAOSB) Board Member Fatih Uysal; and Retired General (Aegean) Fikret Küpeli as well as other manufacturers at the Zone.
Taking the floor at the opening, Serbest told that he is originally from Samsun, the Black Sea Region and his paintings depict Ladik, his hometown, in an attempt to introduce the art enthusiasts to his works by blending the unique natural wonders of the Black Sea and imagination. The exhibition featuring entirely oil paintings will be open to visitors until June 6, 2017 at the Norm Art Gallery.
About Zeki Serbest
Born in 1946, Ladik, Samsun. Completed his primary & secondary school education and primary teaching school in Ladik. Graduated from the Art Teaching Department at Ankara Gazi Training Institute in 1968. Drafted for Akpınar Primary Teaching School, where he also graduated from, and taught in two different secondary education institutions in Izmir until he retired. As a member of B.R.D.H, the artist opened 90 personal exhibitions and participated in 140 competitive and mixed exhibitions. His works are featured in local and international private and public collections.
